Daemon Tools (just a quick explanation...) it's a emulation software. When you instal it it creates a virtual cd/dvd drive. You can mount your Image files from games, or what else, like ISO, MDF/MDS, BIN/CUE files...

Daemon Tools is also the only software that have the capacity to make run some games with starforce protection.

You can also find other emulators, like Alcohool 120% (with this one you can copy cds or dvds, burn them, or mount the image files and install and play them), Clone cd virtual drive and Blindwright.

Daemon Tools it's only for mounting (installing and playing) image files.

Nice explanation . Just to add to this it takes up virtually no system memory, it really is the way forward for CD/DVD drive emulation, its also free so you dont need to *cough* pay *cough* for it .
